The Marshallan Relief & Development Services (MAREDES) an NGO of the Knight and Ladies of Marshall has donated 300 mathematical set to J.H.S. girls in deprived areas in the Central Region.
They were given to the girls to help boost their interest in the study of mathematics and science. The schools were Abura, Amosima, Nkanfoa, Yamorransa, Waakrom, Akatakyiwa and Anomabo Catholic Schools.
The Cenrtral Regional Grand Knight, W/Bro. Matthew K. Obeng-Appiah, led the team of Marshallans to present the items to the beneficiary girls.
In all the schools visited, the RGK,W/Bro. Obeng – Appiah stressed on the objective of the project as seeking to encourage Girl – Students to take active interest in the Maths and Science subjects.
On the presentation of the Maths sets, the girls were pleasantly surprised and responded with wild cheers and jubilations.
All the spokespersons for the beneficiaries, usually the Girls’ prefects of the various schools, profusely thanked the sponsors and promised to make good use of the sets and also take good care of them.
They were also grateful and felt highly honoured for being selected to benefit from the package.
