Newsletter Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life (2 March 2018)

Dear friends,
The month of March that has just begun will lead us to two important events dedicated to young people: from 19th to the 24th, the pre-synodal meeting, spoken about at a press conference of the Holy See, which will bring nearly 300 young people from around the world together in Rome, and the XXXIII World Youth Day in 2018.
To this second event, which will be celebrated at the diocesan level on March 25th, Palm Sunday, as the intermediate stage in view of Panama 2019 (the Pope has already registered during a live worldwide broadcast, Francis has dedicated a Message on the theme “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God” (Lk 1:30), in which he explains to the young people that “WYD is for the courageous,” provoking them to “accept the challenge”.
The challenge of evangelization is embraced every day by the “lively little churches” under the guidance of the Bishops of Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, recently came to visit the Dicastery, together with the Bishops from Belarus on their Ad Limina Visit, and promised that some of their families will participate in the next World Meeting of Families in Dublin.
In connection with this, we remind you that the artistic multimedia clip, combined with the second preparatory catechesis for Ireland—on the theme of the Gospel phrase “His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover” (Lk 2:41), is online.
In addition to this newsletter (please, invite your friends to subscribe here, if you have not already done so), we are using our website to circulate good news —updated daily—and the “Good News” newscast that we publish periodically on our YouTube channel. All of this is available in five languages. Those who like the social networks can also find us on Twitter and Instagram.
