Most Respected Lady (MRL) Sister Grace Budu-Smith was on Saturday, September 22, 2017, installed as the 23rd Grand Lady with a call on members of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall to support Marshallans in need in their charity activities.
“We should continue to do our charity works and include our own members who need support in one way or the other,” she stated.
Addressing members of the Grand Court after she had been installed as the Grand Lady, MRL Sis Budu-Smith also stressed the need for more comprehensive charity works in collaboration with the Marshallan Relief and Development Services (MAREDES) on regional basis.
Promoting Unity
MRL Sis Budu-Smith emphasized the need for unity among members of the Noble Order, saying that the precursor of unity among any group of people was love.
That, she explained, required that the joys and sorrows of any member would be the concern of all.
She said membership drive and consecration of Courts would continue efforts would be concentrated more on the sustainability of existing Courts.
“In this regard, I want to encourage a Twining Programme, whereby, bigger, stronger and well established Courts will twin-up (adopt or pair up) with the younger, smaller and weaker Courts within the same region or outside to support them through educational programmes, assist them to implement programmes and activities of the Noble Order, organize workshops for them on spiritual development, help them understand our rituals, code of ethics and help solve their social and financial challenges for them to be on their feet,” she said.
