My Dear Brothers and Sisters, we have just finished observing the Lenten Season centered on fasting, abstinence, prayers and a call to Holiness in all our dealings.
Holiness is experienced in practicing the Beatitudes. Let us acknowledge God as the center piece in our activities and under all circumstances, praise and honour His Holy Name.
We believe the experiences we have gone through during this Lenten period have rekindled our hope and determination to turn away from sin. Our call to holiness should reflect on our ability to do simple things in very extraordinary ways with Love as the center.
The various charity works we have undertaken during this Lenten Season are appreciated by those who genuinely need help. Be the light of the World and the Salt of the Earth in all we do. Let us brighten the corners wherever we are and bring a smile to faces of the less privileged.
As we enter the Easter Season, let us be emboldened by the good works of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and march gallantly towards finding solace and comfort in the bosom of the Lord.
With the resurrection of the risen Lord, let us pray that the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse our hearts and souls and protect us from all evil.
The Season should always remind us of how God has been good to us as the sons and daughters of the Lord. We on our part, have to return the favour by sharing our blessings with others.
As stated in 1 Peter 1-3: “God in his mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the Dead.”
It is our hope that the Easter Season will guide us as Marshallans and galvanize us to undertake the various programmes lined up for the 50th Anniversary of the Ladies of Marshall and the Centenary Celebration of the Knights of Marshall so that together, we can move the Noble Order forward.
I encourage you not to forget about the Theme of the 2018 Re-union conference and all the things we said we will be doing to protect the Environment, Mother Earth. Let us engage in tree planting in our neighborhood and continue to be careful with waste disposal especially plastic and electronic waste.
We note with satisfaction the new on-line Portal Registration System from our ICT Team and call on all brothers and sisters to ensure compliance by signing on in order to broaden the scope and level of our compliance with technology for the good of the Noble Order.
May the Risen Christ bring us peace and tranquility to all our families and our activities for the greater glory of God. AMEN.
