THE planning committee of the first ever Greater Accra Homecoming has released the schedule of events for the three-day event.
To be hosted at the North Campus of the University of Education, Winneba, registration and allocation of rooms will take place between 10am and 4pm on Friday, August 14, 2015.
According to the committee, the travellers’ mass will follow thereafter at 5pm and dinner at 7pm. A social night will follow after dinner.
On Saturday, August 15, 2015, it said, the day will begin with the morning mass at 7am and breakfast at 8am. The plenary session will start at 9am during which period brothers and sisters have been advised to wear the marshallan cloth, preferably the blue cloth.
Sir Kt James Adomako is expected to deliver a message alongside messages from the Supreme Knight, the Grand Lady and a lecture on insurance by W/Bro Diop Frimpong.
The plenary session will end with the issuance of a resolution.
According to the committee, the afternoon session will begin after lunch with lots of music, games, and dancing competition.
Brothers and sisters are encouraged to come along with scrabble, oware, ludo, drafts etc.
It said the day will end with dinner and socialization from 7pm.
On Sunday, August 16, 2015, it said a thanksgiving mass will start at 8:30am during which some past editorial board members of the Bridge Magazine will be presented with certificates. It said all brothers and sisters are expected to be in full regalia.
The committee said a banquet will follow at 11am with departure set for 3pm.
It appealed to all brothers and sisters to endeavour to be punctual and exercise a lot of discipline during the three day homecoming.
