COURT 105 AND COUNCIL 109 GIVES BIRTH TO 88 J – SALVE REGINA

At a memorable ceremony, Court 105 and Council 109 of the noble order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, New Aplaku had their junior order consecrated.

The ceremony, which took place at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church , New – Aplaku in Accra on Saturday 6th August, 2016 attracted a massive turnout of senior brothers and sisters.

In attendance were the Deputy Grand Lady, RL Sis Grace Budu-Smith, the Supreme Youth Co-ordinator, W/Bro. Commodore Mark Yawson and Grand Youth Co-ordinator, RL Sis Gloria Bramson and their Assistants, as well as Supreme Council and Grand Court officers.

 The Accra West Regional Grand Knight, W/Bro Evaristus Kuatsinu and Regional Noble Lady, RL Sis Doris Bramson, regional officers and representatives from the component adult courts and councils of the Accra – West Region were all in attendance.

Brothers and sisters of Council 109 and Court 105 as well as junior brothers and sisters from 43J and representatives from the component junior courts and councils of the region with their organisers were also present to witness the consecration of 88 J, Salve Regina.

Before the consecration , twenty – three juniors  were initiated comprising eleven junior sisters  and twelve junior brothers.

The newly consecrated junior order 88 J has the  appellation ” Salve Regina”,   a Latin phrase meaning “Hail Holy Queen” . 88 J – Salve Regina was constitutionally pronounced as a junior order at exactly 1pm at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, New Aplaku in the Greater Accra Region.

After which the foundation members melodiously sang the anthem ” Salve Regina”  Salve Regina , 88 J has a foundation membership  of 53 juniors drawn from 43J.

The consecration officer was Worthy Brother Commander Yawson – with Respected Lady Sister Bramson – Grand Youth Coordinator as  Secretary . Rev. Fr. Dr. Vincent Owusu, resident priest of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church , New Aplaku was the chaplain for the ceremony with Worthy Brother Thomas Asiedu  as consecration guard.

The ceremony also saw the installation of fourteen junior brothers and sisters into office as the first office bearers of Salve Regina. Junior Brother Martin Ackon was installed as Junior Gra
nd Knight and Junior Sister Lorna Ayivor as Junior Noble Lady. Junior Brother Gilbert Tackie was installed as Junior Deputy Grand Knight while Junior Sister Lynette Sannaise- Mensah was installed as Junior Deputy Noble Lady. Other officers included Junior Brother Boniface Kwarteng as Junior Secretary and Junior Sister  Grace Fosu Boateng as Assistant Secretary.

In his maiden speech, the Junior Grand, Jnr Bro Ackom said he would work cordially with the Junior Noble Lady to ensure that 88 J thrived amidst the storm.

The Deputy Grand Lady, Respected Lady Sister Budu- Smith encouraged the members to be brave and prepared at all times and show respect to their seniors.

She also reiterated the fact that 88 J so far had the largest number of foundation membership for the year.

The Regional Noble Lady, Respected Lady Sister Doris Bramson in her good will message said she trusts the new leadership will work wonders. The Accra – West Regional Grand Knight, Worthy Brother Evaristus Kuatsinu admonished the members of 88 J to exhibit humility at all times.

He said he was overjoyed because that was the first junior order to be consecrated in the region since he took office.

The Grand Youth Coordinator, Respected Lady Sister Gloria Bramson congratulated the organisers and admonished the junior members” to use their time judiciously, avoid dangerous internet sites and keep good circles of friends”.

The Supreme Youth Coordinator, Worthy Brother Commander Mark Yawson, encouraged the juniors to hope and trust in God at all times.

The Grand Knight of Council 109, Bro. Patrick Honya thanked all brothers and sisters for the support especially Council 71 and Court 63, Dansoman.

He made mention of the fact that the Immediate Past Regional Grand Knight of the Accra – West Region, Worthy Brother Peter Wireko “sowed the seed” during his term in office and also acknowledged the efforts of his predecessors , Brother John Enninful and Sister Gifty Ahiable , Immediate Past Grand Knight and Noble Lady of Council 109 and Court 105 respectively, in making this dream a reality.

The Noble Lady of Court 105, Sis Justina Enninful said she was very elated to have witnessed the consecration during her reign and said the name will have a positive effect of all on the entire membership.
