Council No 63/Court No 58 (Madina) Hold Thanksgiving Mass

MARSHALLANS of Council 63 and Court 58, Madina on February 1, 2015 joined their Grand Knight, Bro. Dr. John Kusimi and the Noble Lady, Sis Happy-Mary Ablordey-Afagbegee for a thanksgiving mass after their installation in December last year.

The thanksgiving mass, which took place at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at Ashley-Botwe near Madina-Accra , co-incided with the elevation of the church to the status of a Parish.

The elevation ceremony which coincided with the Silver Jubilee of the Church was performed by the Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, the Metropolitan Catholic Archbishop of Accra. In attendance at the ceremony, as a special guest, was Mr. Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, the Vice President of Ghana.

On Sunday, February 1, 2015, the Vicar General of the Accra Archdiocese, the Very Rev. Fr. Francis Adoboli, installed Rev. Fr. Nimorious Kwabena Domanzing (SMA) as the first parish priest of the Church.

In attendance were over 150 brothers and sisters of Council No. 63 and Court No 58 (Madina) and 45 members of 41J (Virgin Most Pure).

The Council and Court were in attendance at the Mass to thank God for successful installation of their 16th Grand Knight, Bro. Dr. John Manyimadin Kusimi, and 15th Noble Lady, Sis. Happy-Mary Ablordey-Afagbegee.

The GK and NL and their team of officers were both installed at ceremonies held at the Peace of Peace Catholic Church in Madina on Saturday, December 13, 2014.

The Installation team of the Grand Knight and his officers comprised of Sir Kt. Bro. Ekow Painstil (Supreme Knight) as Installation Officer; W/Bro. Michael K.B. Xatse as Installation Secretary, Bro. John Amenyo Attiogbe as Installation Guard, and Bro. Rev. Fr. John Tumawu as  Installation Chaplain. For the ladies, the Installation team comprised of RL Sis. Janet Barrigah as Installation officer, Sis. Winifred Yennah as Installation Secretary, Sis. Perpetual Xatse as Installation Sentry and Rev. Fr. Charles Ansah as Installation Chaplain.

At the Thanksgiving Mass, Bro. Dr. Kusimi, spoke about the aims and objectives of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall and appealed to the congregation of the St. Francis of Assisi Church to join the Order.

He and the Noble lady donated an unspecified amount to support on-going projects of the Church. The officers of Council and Court were introduced to the congregation.

The Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Adoboli, prayed over the office bearers for them to have a successful tenure.
