Sir Knight Reverend Father Joseph Ebow Baidoo was ordained to the Roman Catholic Priesthood in Monrovia, Liberia in 1991; initiated into the Noble Order of Knights of Marshall in 1992; died after a protracted period of illness at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital on June 19, 2018; and was buried at Our Lady Queen of Peace Shrine in the Archdiocese of Monrovia on July 7, 2018.
The late Assistant Supreme Chaplain and Past Supreme Knight was admitted at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital on Saturday, May 26, 2018 undergoing medical treatment and while on his sick bed, brothers and sisters of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies visited him and most especially on the Sunday before his demise, the State Grand Knight W/Bro. Daniel P.M. Kwabo along with other members paid him another visit.
Upon hearing about the passing of the Sir Kt. Bro. Rev. Fr. Baidoo, State and Regional officers headed by the State Grand Knight and State Noble Lady went to the St. Josephs Catholic Hospital to participate in the removal of the mortal remains to the Samuel Striker Funeral Parlours; and thereafter, officers of the Noble Order immediately begun working with the office of Archbishop Lewis Jerome Ziegler for funeral arrangements and engaged the Supreme Council through the Supreme Knight. Eventually, the role of the Noble Order was clearly defined and played by us; this display of unity, fraternity, charity and service was recognized and appreciated by the church and for which we remain grateful.
The death of Sir Kt. Rev. Fr. Joseph Ebow Baidoo who served the local Church in the Archdiocese of Monrovia, Liberia may have come as a shock; but one thing he will be remembered for will be his humility and ability to touch the lives of many spiritually and physically.
This was evidenced by the turnout on Friday, July 6, 2018 during the removal of his remains from the Samuel Striker Funeral Parlours located in Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia. Several local priests, the religious, family members, officers and members of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall with representation from all three regions of the Liberia State as well as sympathizers and well wishers converged at the funeral home to participate in the removal.
