Practice the tenets of the Noble Order – Rev Fr Akaxoxo

“The regalia does not make you a TRUE KNIGHT or a LADY instead practice and fulfill the basic tenets of the Noble Order namely:  Unity, Charity, Fraternity and Service”.

 

In a homily to commemorate the Marshallan Day at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, New Powmu near Akosombo, Rev. Fr. Evans Yayra Akaxoxo, Parish Priest of Akosombo, Santa Barbara Parish admonished members of Council 45 and Court 38, Akosombo who gathered to worship and celebrate the achievements of the Founder.

 

Father Akaxoxo reminded Marshallans to be ready to serve always and in any capacity. He said, service to holy mother the Catholic Church is the surest way of attracting membership to the Noble Order. He urged Marshallans to walk the talk and live by example.

 

After the celebration of Holy Mass, Sir Kt. Bro. Ahiabu, spoke to the congregation about the life and history of Sir. James Marshall. He recounted the heroic actions of the founder and his role in the re-formation of the Catholic Church in Ghana.

 

The IPGK Bro. Alfred Tordzro and IPNL Sister Mavis Quartey, presented an amount of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,000.00) on behalf of Council and Court to support the pastoral activities of St Anthony’s Catholic Church, New Powmu.

 

The Church President, Bro. Darko expressed his gratitude and assured the Marshallans that, the intention of the gesture would be fulfilled.

 

Members of the Council and Court also paid a visit to the family of the late Brother Stanley Kaletsi, who joined the Noble Order above in the early hours of the Marshallan Day at the V.R.A. Hospital, Akosombo.
Members prayed with the family and encouraged them to remain steadfast in prayer in the trying moments of life. They assured the family of their support during the funeral.
