The Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Bro Richard Ayih-Akakpo has announced his intension to institute an exchange programme that will promote the learning of French and English by members of the Junior Order.
Delivering his acceptance speech after his installation as the 35th Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Bro Ayih-Akakpo noted that with its increasing spread into the francophone zone, the Noble Order has become international in scope, and that it can work to break down language barriers with future generations in mind.
He proposed the implementation of a project that would allow Ghanaian Marshallan families to open their doors to members of the Junior Order from the francophone countries who wish to learn English, and vice versa.
Similarly, he stressed the need to help young Brothers in Adult Councils to improve their language skills in English or French.
He called for the setting up of a structure that would centralize offers and requests.
