Sir Kt Bro Ayih-Akakpo installed 35th Supreme Knight

The 2023 meeting of the Supreme Council of the Knights of Marshall was held at the Marshallan Centre at Bakaekyir, Sekondi, on Saturday, 2nd September 2023.

The meeting resulted in the installation of a new Administration under the leadership of Sir Kt Bro Richard Ayih-Akakpo.

Earlier, the Immediate Past Supreme Advocate, Worthy Bro Constantine Kudzedzi and member of Council 83 Adiembra was elected Deputy Supreme Knight.

In line with tradition, the Grand Lady, Most Respected Lady Sis Patricia Dunenye led a delegation from the Committee of Substantive Past Grand Ladies to witness the ceremony.

The delegation included Most Respected Lady Sis Dame Theresa Pobee, Most Respected Lady Sis Margaret Gaisie-Essilfie, Most Respected Lady Sis Alice Stella Ayebi, Most Respected Lady Sis Dame Dr Agatha Akua Bonnie, and the Immediate Past Grand Lady, Most Respected Lady Sis Elizabeth Anderson-Yebuah. Also present was the Deputy Grand Lady, Respected Lady Sis Irene Smith-Ansah.

The Vicar General of the Diocese of Lome, Rev Msgr Laurent Kpogo, represented the Metropolitan Archbishop of Lome, Most Rev Nicodeme Barrigah-Benissah at the installation.

Sir Kt Bro Ayih-Akakpo is the first non-Ghanaian Supreme Knight of the Knights of Marshall, which has a presence in Ghana, London, Togo-Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.

He joined the Noble Order in October 1980 at Council 34 Aneho Togo.

He was installed Grand Knight in 1991, and served as Reader and Lecturer from 1992 to 2006.

Sir Kt Bro Ayih-Akakpo has been a Supreme Councilor for the past ten years. He was an Assistant Supreme Secretary of Finance, francophone , an Assistant Supreme Monitoring and Evaluation

Officer, francophone, and Assistant Supreme Translator.

He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Bridge Magazine.
