A high-powered delegation, led by the Supreme Knight of the Knights of Marshall, Sir Kt. Bro Ambrose Yennah, has paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu to formally invite him to the upcoming Reunion Conference of the Noble Order which will be held at the University of Ghana from July 26 – 29, 2018.
The Conference, the 9th of its kind is expected to bring together over 6000 Marshallans from about eight countries.
Briefing the Vice Chancellor, Sir Kt. Yennah disclosed that the Guest of Honour will be the President of the Republic of Ghana, HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Guest Speaker will be His Eminence Peter Cardinal Appiah Turkson who shall deliberate on a topic in relation to Pope Francis’ Encyclical on the Environment, Laudato Si.
The Vice Chancellor was very grateful for the official visit and expressed profound gratitude for the choice of the theme of the conference. He said issues regarding the environment must be taken very seriously as our future depends on it. According to him, “If we do not tackle the environment, we shall have no future.” He noted that the University of Ghana aspires to be a model of green and clean environment and for this reason a Green Team has been constituted at the University to ensure this is achieved.
Sir Kt Bro Yennah later presented a copy of his installation brochure and the Bridge Magazine to the Vice Chancellor.
The delegation included the Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Reunion Conference, Sir Kt Bro Joseph Otoo, the Deputy Supreme Knight, W/Bro Charles Cobb and some members of the planning committee namely, Sir Kt.
