TEN Marshallans are the latest to receive Papal Awards for their contribution to the Church in the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province.
They are Sir Kt Bro Ambrose Akyebe Yennah, a Substantive Past Supreme Knight; Sir Kt Bro. Cosmas Hassan Alhassan; Sir Kt Bro Prof Elias Nortaa Kunedeb Sowley, Worthy Bro Malex Alebikiya and Worthy Bro Samuel Zan Akologo, together with Mr Daniel Damka, who are all to be honoured with the Knighthood of St Gregory.
Sir Kt Bro John Yakubu Fuseini; Worthy Bro Peter Yaro and Worthy Bro Gordon Kunatighr Ekekpi, would receive the Knighthood of St Sylvester.
The others to receive the Knighthood of St Sylvester are Messrs Samuel Mahama Wun-niche, Matthew Pipio Eib; and Anthony Tinyogtah Baissana.
Four women, Most Respected Lady Sis Mary Kyiu; Sis Sophia Ayaric; Madam Agnes Chiravira and Matilda Zenabu Pipio Eib are to be honoured with Dames of St Sylvester.
A correspondence signed by Most Rev Philip Naameh, Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale indicated that the awardees would be knighted on September 8, 2023 at the OLA Cathedral Parish, Tamae at 9:30am.
It said the Mass would be presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio, Most Rev. Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński during which he will confer the honours.
