LETS INVEST IN OUR YOUTH TODAY SO OUR FUTURE AS A SOCIETY CAN BE ASSURED- SUPREME KNIGHT URGES MARSHALLANS

The Supreme Knight, Sir Knight Bro Ernest Amoako Arhen has called on Marshallans to re-focus their attention on the Junior Order since the future of the Order depends on them.

“I wish to charge all Regional Grand Knights and Regional Noble Ladies to personally work out strategies for the smooth transition of the eligible Junior Marshallans into the Adult Councils and Courts”, he said.

He made the call in his address at the Plenary Session of the 28th Eastern Regional Conference which was held at Akosombo International School, Akosombo on 19th-21st August 2016.

Sir Kt. Bro. Amoako-Arhen admonished Grand Knights, Noble Ladies, Regional Grand Knights and Regional Noble Ladies to formulate strategies to facilitate the integration of the juniors into the adult order.

The three day conference, which was on the theme ‘THE MARSHALLAN AND THE NEW EVANGELISATIO FOR THE TRANSMISSION OF THE FAITH” brought together, members from Koforidua, Nsawam, Asamankese, Oda, Akyem-Tafo, Kwahu-Tafo, Odumase-Krobo and Akosombo.

The Supreme Council was represented by Sir Knight Bro. Ernest Amoako-Arhen, Supreme Knight, W/Bro Emmanuel Ofori- Dankwa, Supreme Director of Business and Paraphernalia, and W/Bro Albert Salia, Supreme IT Officer while the Grand Court was represented by RL Sis Grace Budu Smith, Deputy Grand Lady and RL Sis Veronica Minta, Grand Sentry.

Sir Knight Bro Anthony Kemavor, the 28th Supreme Knight who hails from the region was also present.

W/Bro Albert Salia in a short address called on everyone to embrace the migration of the Marshallan communication and record keeping onto the new IT platform.

He advised Grand Knights and Noble Ladies to cultivate the habit of using the Marshallan email addresses available to them for official correspondence rather than their personal email addresses.

In attendance was W/Bro Dr. Andre Kwasi Kumah, Supreme Physician on the ticket of the Marshallan Medical Fund, who used the occasion to educate brothers and sisters present about the MMF.

He advised that councils and courts make payment of MMF levies mandatory so that members can enjoy the benefits during medical emergencies.

On her part, RL Grace Budu-Smith presenting the Grand Lady’s message, urged Marshallans to be guided by the values of the Order as exhibited in our personal lives and work places.

She further admonished Brothers and Sisters to constantly pray, participate in the sacraments of reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist, intensify our corporal and spiritual works of mercy and emulate the life of the saints as they were the keys to spirituality.

The three day conference saw the installation of W/Bro J.R.T. Larwer as the new Regional Grand Knight and RL Sis Theresa Nelson as the new Regional Noble Lady. Bro Benedict Akwetey and Sis Felicia Bramson were elected Deputy Regional Grand Knight and Deputy Regional Noble Lady respectively. Ten Brothers from constituent Councils were also elevated to the high office of Honorary Past Regional Grand Knight.

A Dinner Dance and Awards Banquet were held to climax activities of the conference.  Brothers nominated as “Best Knights” for each constituent Council were given awards. Other categories for awards were brothers with twenty five years and above in the Noble Order and brothers who have contributed immensely to the growth of the Noble Order in the region.
