Grand Court building starts

THE Ladies of Marshall, a Catholic friendly society, on February 28, 2015, cut sod for the construction of it headquarters building project at Parkoso near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The project, which is to be completed in two phases, is expected to have the first phase –a Secretariat to be constructed by the end of July 2015, followed by the building of a meeting hall between two to three years.

The project would be funded with levies imposed on sisters of the Ladies of Marshall and through other fund raising activities, as well as donations from members’ friends of the Noble Order of the ladies of Marshall.

The Noble Order has a membership of about ten thousand and is a member of the International Alliance of Catholic Knights and the International Council of Catholic Men, all of the Catholic fraternity.

 

Objectives of the Order

In her address, the Grand Lady, Most Respected Lady, Sister Margaret Yirenkyi said the contract for the construction had been awarded to Papnoble Ventures through a competitive bidding process.

She said a permanent office secretariat and hall to house the headquarters of the Ladies of Marshall would serve the Noble Order well.

She,therefore, appealed to their male counterparts, the Knights of Marshall, to also do periodic fund raising acitivties to support the project.

The Supreme Knight, Sir Knight Ekow Paintsil, said the aims of the Noble Order, among other objectives, were to promote Catholic spirit both by personal and group action in all phases of life.

He said the construction of the headquarters would help to enhance the implementation of the objectives and the collaborative work of the Noble order.

 

Commendation

While commending the leadership of the Ladies of Marshall for taking the step to establish a permanent office, the Supreme Director of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, Sir Kt Veteran Bro. Commander, Dr E.S. K Kwaw  Dr Kwaw pledged the Supreme Council’s support for the association.

“I pray that the headquarters will enable you realise the vision and mission of the Noble Order, find fulfilment in serving God and fellowship to the glory of God on the promises,” he said.
