Five Marshallans receive Papal Awards in Accra

Five Marshallans have been honoured with Papal Awards for their dedicated services to the Catholic Church.

They are Sir Kt Bro Sir Ernest Amoako-Arhen, a Substantive Past Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Bro Sir Anthony Kobina Yebuah of Council 74 Accra Central, and Sir Kt Bro Sir Anthony Oteng Gyasi of Council 74 Accra Central, who were honoured with the Knighthood titles, Order of St. Gregory The Great , while Sir Knight Bro. Andrew Christian Agyekum of Council 71 Dansoman was honoured with the Order of St. Sylvester, Pope.

Respected Lady Sis Elizabeth Hanu Bulley of Court 67 Accra Central, was honoured with Dame of St. Gregory The Great.

They were among 19 other Catholics including two Monsignors of the Accra Archdiocese, who were invested with the Papal medals by the Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, Most Rev. Henryk Mieczslaw Jagodzinski, at an Eucharistic celebration at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra on 10th December, 2022.

The Papal Envoy presided over the Mass, which was concelebrated by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp; the Bishop of Keta-Akatsi, Most Rev Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, and more than 80 Priests from the Accra Archdiocese.

Members of the Forum of Papal Knights and Dames-Ghana, led by the President, Sir Kt Bro Sir Fosuaba Mensah Banahene were in attendance.
