Biography of Bro. Francis Anderson

BIOGRAPHY

 

BIRTH AND PARENTAGE

Francis Thomas Papa Bosomafi Kwame Anderson was born on the 17th of August, 1985 to Mr. Frank Kobina Anderson and Mrs. Mary Abena Akyaa Anderson at Accra. Papa, as affectionately called by family and friends was born into a family of 4; his parents and a sister.

 

EARLY LIFE

Papa started his education with Eunicharles Day Nursery now known as God’s Grace International School and later moved to St. Theresa’s School for his primary and JSS education. He completed St. Theresa’s in the year 2000 and joined Presbyterian Boy’s Secondary School (PRESEC) where he pursued visual arts. He was a member of House 6, Labone House. In school he joined the drama club. He gained the name Paulo Gucci in PRESEC, Gucci for short. All school mates and friends called him by that name.

 

He furthered his studies with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; class of 2008 where he studied communication design. He was one of the best students in his class. He belonged to the Katanga confraternity and participated actively in their activities.

 

WORK LIFE

Papa had his attachment program with Insel as a requirement in the 3rd year of his studies in the university and due to his hard work and dedication; he was given the opportunity to do his national service with them. He then worked with BenchMac, a Graphic Arts company where his uncle was once a partner, Lintas, Origin 8, and E-volution respectively as a graphic designer before he was called by his maker to His bosom.

 

HIS WORKS

Papa worked on many designs for his company and for personal jobs. Papa designed several logos such as Horseman Shoe Logo, Msimps, Maka & Lexin, Pee & Kay Records, Cardinal Petroleum Group, Dashen Opticians, Scroll Consult, Pastry Palace, Wear Ghana, etc. just to mention a few. He designed his friends’ wedding programs and cards.

 

CHURCH LIFE

Papa was born, baptized, and confirmed in St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. He was a member of the Children of Mary Society and CASU. He joined the Junior Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshal 23J and moved to the Senior Order right after school. His mother council was Council 48 Accra West. He was a member of the Kaneshie Marshallan Association of St. Theresa’s Parish. Papa joined STHEYA, formerly St. Theresa’s Youth Association in the year 2013 and hence been an active member, participating in all programmes be it Spiritual or Social. He was a member of the STHEYA Soccer team, with his preferred jersey number 13.

 

FAMILY LIFE

Papa met the love of his life in September, 2011 and after years of courtship; they decided to take their relationship a step further by performing the traditional marriage rites. He got married to Eugenia Otchere on the 27th day of December, 2014.

 

Papa left behind a wife and an unborn child.

 

LAST DAY

Papa died in the early hours of Wednesday, 15th April, 2015 around 2.00a.m when he was attacked by armed robbers and was shot in the chest in his home residence at Kwashieman. Papa died at age 29.

 

Fare thee well papa… you are gone but not forgotten. You will forever remain in our hearts.
