The incoming 2018 administration of Council 115 and Court 110 of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, Airport West, has undergone a 2-hour recollection exercise at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, University of Ghana, Legon.
The exercise, which was held on the Feast of Christ the King, was led by Rev. Fr. Wisdom Larweh of the Catholic Secretariat. He took participants through the principles of good leadership making reference to Biblical passages.
The exercise was to provide the opportunity for office bearers of the 3rd administration of Council 115 and Court 110, to examine their conscience, reflect on our relationship with God and commit to serve as they prepare to take up the responsibility of leadership.
Fr. Larweh commended the incoming administration for the choice of the theme: “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, But with humility of mind regard One another as more important than yourselves” (Philippians 2:3). He said whether appointed or elected, a good leader must be capable, must have a strong sense of responsibility and must be accountable to the people he/she serves. “To make progress, you must learn to advance the aims and objective of the group and not yourself as an individual” he added.
Fr. Larweh entreated members of Court 110 and Council 115 to be united in love to allow Christ to dwell in them for a strong society. He said as Christians, our every deed, acts and words must lead others to Christ.
