Bro. Dr. Boadi-Kusi, is a very energetic, smart, dynamic, charismatic and a visionary leader. He was initiated into the Noble Order on 9th May, 2009 in Council 3, Kumasi and became a founding member of Council 98, Santasi-Kumasi on 27th June, 2009. He served as the stand-by guard, and subsequently sat for the Lower degree examinations and passed with distinction. He was then elected and served as secretary for two years before being elected as the Deputy Grand Knight in 2013. He is currently the Regional Master of Ceremonies for the Ashanti-South Denkyera Regional Council and Court of the Noble Order.
He mounts the throne of Grand Knight with a lot of commitment and dedication to the Council having served in various positions including being a member of the Junior Organizers for 74J, Mother Most Amiable, Santasi, Chairman of the Transport Committee and member of the Temple Project Committee. He is diligent and takes pride in bringing all hands on deck to accomplish task. He has demonstrated his desire to see to the progress of Council 98 and the Regional Council through his enthusiasm and contributions on all platforms.
Bro. Boadi-Kusi has served as a member of the Parish Council of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, University of Cape Coast for two terms. As a public orator, he has raised funds for a number of Catholic Parishes and societies for different projects. He is now a member of the Parish Council of the All Saints Catholic Church, Santasi-Kumasi, and serves on the Harvest Committee.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Ophthalmic Sciences, Doctor of Optometry degree (OD) as well as a Master of Philosophy in Population and Health all from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Optometry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and is currently a consultant in Environmental and Occupational Vision. In addition, he hold a Diploma in Human Resource Management (Single Subject) from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), United Kingdom and an Advanced Executive Certificate Programme (AECP) in Marketing, Customer Care & Selling from the Pan African Institute for Leadership and Governance Studies, Accra – Ghana.
He is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Optometry, University of Cape Coast and the CEO of Immaculate Eye Foundation, an NGO which has provided eye care to a number of deprived areas in Ghana through partnership with International Organizations such as the Rotary Club from Oss, Massland, Netherlands and the Focus on
Vision Foundation, Netherlands. He has served as a consultant to a number of projects on eye health in Ghana, including the Tullow Oil Jubilee Health Screening and still serves as a consultant to the To Be Worldwide Foundation on their School Vision project in Takoradi. He is a member of the Advocacy Team for Human Resource for Eye Health (HReH) in Ghana, under the auspices of the Ghana Eye Secretariat and the International Association for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB). He is currently the Vice President of the Ghana Optometric Association and is also a member of the Governing Council of the Allied Health Professions Council, Ghana, under the Ministry of Health and the Chairman of the Professions and Education Committee of the same Council. He has also served as a member of the Governing Council (University Council) of the University of Cape Coast.
Dr. Boadi-Kusi is married to Mrs Mary Quainoo Boadi-Kusi, a Sister at Court 100, Santasi and they are blessed with two children, Theodore Bert Boadi-Kusi and Anne McKayla Boadi-Kusi.
