MESSAGE FROM THE MARSHALLAN CENTRE FOR FRATERNAL RELATIONS

SHARING AND CARING FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS DURING THE YULETIDE, IN THE SPIRIT OF CHARITY & FRATERNIRTY

The year 2014 is gradually coming to a close and despite the ups and downs that we may have gone through we still should give thanks to the Almighty for keeping us alive. Some have been incapacitated in their jobs, health, marriages and relationships and others had lost their lives.

For being alive and with the opportunity to make amends to our handicaps, shortfalls and circumstances many in various ways give thanks to God either by cladding ourselves in white, attend thanksgiving church services and fete ourselves with choicest dishes.

We wish our friends well with cards, visit friends and relations, exchange parcels and presents, and stock our homes with food and drinks that we hope to share with our guests if any. The unfortunate thing however is that it is not always that we get the expected visitors coming to visit us leaving us with the stock that we have in our fridges and closets.

As Marshallans we have always had the opportunity of fraternizing with our brothers and sisters at the end of every Marshallan year, often with brothers and sisters who are not bedridden, healthy and can attend council and court meetings. What about our brothers and sisters who for reasons beyond their control cannot make it to our end of year social sessions. What do we do with them? Together we can do something to share in their plight and share the peace and the love and the good tidings that our savior brings to us during the Xmas season.

Refer to Clause 5 of the policy of the Marshallan Centre of Fraternal relations for guidance “Councils are to declare a month of socialization preferably in January, when the aged, sick and distressed brothers and sisters of the council and courts can be brought together feted and given present.”

Let’s rejoice and be lad and do the needful.

THE MARSHALLAN CENTRE FOR FRATERNAL RELATIONS WISHES YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
