73J, Osu wins Junior Quiz

The Junior Marshallans in the Accra East Region pitched their strength against each other in “Who is Who” in the 2015 quiz competition.

The competing Junior Orders were 5J, Christ the King, 41J from Madina, 73J from Osu and 79J from Adenta. They were examined on the Holy Bible and the Noble Order.

New entrants, 79J, who hosted the contest, showed class, but could not withstand the flair, fluency and outstanding performance of 73J from Osu, who were gifted with a number of bonuses from 41J.

The knowledge of the contestants from 73J in the Holy Bible and the Noble Order was unquestionable as they exhibited high level of brilliance to top in the first round, which examined them on the Holy Bible with 67 points with their closest contenders 79J gathering 53 points. The Rounds Two and Three, however, exposed the 73J that they are not too old in the Noble Order as they fumbled during those rounds which focused on the Noble Order and could only gather 23 points as against the more experienced 5J and 41J who came up strongly in the two rounds with 32 and 25 points respectively.

The contestants from 79J, which was consecrated less than a year ago were most affected. Even though they did very well in the Round One with 53 points, they could only glean 16 points in the Rounds Two and Three put together.

In all, it was an exciting event and closely fought contest, which ended successfully with 73J topping the contest with 90 points followed by 79J with 69 points, with 5J picking 65 points and 41J scoring 62 points.

Junior Brother Melvin from 79J and Junior Sister Joyceline 73J were adjudged the Overall Best individual contestants.

Senior Brother, W/Bro Owusu Ansah, who graced the occasion, presented the trophy to the 73J, while the other contestants were given consolation prizes.

There was an impressive representation of Senior Brothers and Sisters from the mother Councils and Courts of the contestants.
