23J embarks on awareness and membership drive at Dervy Avenue

Members of the Junior Order of Council & Court 23J, Mother Most Pure, on May 29, 2016, joined the congregation of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Derby Avenue to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi.

The Sacred Heart Parish is one the few parishes in the Accra West Region of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall without junior Marshallans.23J

The presence of members of 23J was, therefore, reawaken the interest of the youth in the parish to educate the youth about the Noble Order and encourage them to join the Junior Order.

The Junior Grand Knight, Jnr. Bro Carl Johnson and the Jnr. Noble Lady, Jnr. Sis Isabelle Agbesi-Ntibrey, took turns to appeal to the parents in the congregation to allow their wards to join the Junior Order, especially 23J.

They described the Junior Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall as one of the best youth groups for young people to develop their talents and spirituality.

They told the congregation that the membership drive of the Junior Order was part of the ‘New Evangelization of the Catholic Faith’ by the Noble Order.

After the church service, members of 23J, who were present, had interactions with the youth in the parish and urged them to join the Junior Order to help propagate the Catholic faith through Charity, Fraternity and Unity.

In attendance were; 23J JOC Chairman, W/Bro. Philip Selormey, Sir. Kt. Bro. E. T. Wiafe, Snr. Bro. Francis Ackon – RYC, Snr. Bro. John Edze – PGK and other Organisers, as well as officers and some members of 23J.

Finally, we had a chat with some of the youths in the Parish after Mass and had much attention from them that some are willing to join the Order to our course of propagating the Catholic faith through Charity, Fraternity and Unity.
