2018 Founders’ Day Message from Supreme Knight and Grand Lady

Ninety two years ago, the Noble Order of the Knights of Marshall was born with a clear mission to defend and promote the Catholic Church.

gl 2017

The Noble Order has certainly made in-roads in the lives of our over eighteen thousand members in Ghana and in all our operating Countries namely; Togo, Benin, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, La Cote D’Ivoire and the United Kingdom since its establishment in November 18, 1926.

The Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall has grown in strength and stature. Today, the Noble Order prides itself with 144 Councils while the Ladies of Marshall have 139 Courts spread throughout our member Countries.

About two years ago, the Noble Order celebrated the 90th Anniversary of our dear Order with pomp and pageantry. It was an occasion that rekindled in the minds of all Marshallans the fighting spirit and valour of our Thirteen Founding Fathers through whose efforts have brought us this far.

The fundamental principles of the Noble Order based on Unity, Charity, Fraternity and Service are still relevant. Looking back to ninety two years ago, we can confidently say that we have fully embraced these tenets to the benefit of ourselves, our Church, our Communities and various operating Countries.

As a Noble Order, we will continue and strive to uphold the fundamental tenets as espoused by our Thirteen Founding Fathers in honour of their memory.

The Ladies wing, Ladies of Marshall, founded on December 20, 1969, will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee in 2019; we pledge our full participation and unflinching support in the year- long activities lined-up for the occasion. We wish our Sisters Happy 50th Anniversary celebration.

The Noble Order has adopted November each year as MAREDES month, a month of solidarity with the poor, the under-privileged and the marginalized. Let us continue to work in the spirit of charity to bring a smile on the faces of the less privileged.

My dear brothers and Sisters, as we move closer towards the centenary celebration of our Noble Order, it is my hope that brothers and Sisters will continue to rally round the leadership of the Noble Order towards the realisation of the goals and objectives upon which the Noble Order was founded.

Long Live the Thirteen Founding Fathers,

Long live the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall,

Long Live our Holy Mother, the Catholic Church,

 And Long Live Ghana.
