MONTHLY SHARING, JUNE 2014 TOPIC: NEVER AGAIN Most often, we hear the sentence NEVER AGAIN .like the Jews said. With that experience from the Holocaust they vowed NEVER to go thru that in their lives again. We are currently in the rainy season and going thru terrible hardship, floods, strong winds pulling down roofing sheets etc etc…. Genesis: 8 15-22 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his hear. NEVER AGAIN will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures…As long as the earth endures seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, rainy season dry season, day and night will never cease. God’s greatest project was threatened by human evil, but after the flood, God determines that human evil will not triumph. God is for the world and its creatures. God is for humanity, the very pinnacle of God’s creative work. Even so, it is human beings who turn out to be the greatest threat to the creation. They incline towards evil and this inclination affects everyone and everything around them.. The dark side of human freedom is human evil. What is new? however, is the determination that this will not be allowed to derail God’s purpose for the world and our humanity. Christians sometimes give up on the world but God never will. This is God’s promise, God’s covenant with the earth….NEVER AGAIN. My dear brothers and sisters, FIND THE WORDS OF THE HYMN…GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS.
