The Consecration of a State Council and State Court for Liberia took place in Monrovia at the Sacred Heart Cathedral on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
The consecration of the State Council was performed by Past Supreme Knight, Sir Kt. Bro James A. Adomako while that of the State Court was performed by Past Grand Lady, Most Respected Lady Sis Victoria Yellu.
Officers
Worthy Brother Daniel Kwabo was installed as the first State Grand Knight of Liberia with Worthy Brother Gregory Mieh as Deputy State Grand Knight.
Other officers were installed into the State Council including Worthy Brother Robert A. Wilson as State Reader and Lecturer, Anthony E.K Asem as State Propagandist while Bro Horatio Willie was installed as State Youth Coordinator. Worthy Brother Andrew Magonah as State Secretary of Finance, Worthy Brother David Wounouah as State Communications Officer among other officers.
The State Court is headed by Respected Lady Emilia Ayomanor as State Noble Lady and Cecelia Wounouah as Deputy State Noble Lady.
The ceremonies were held on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
Meanwhile, four new Councils and three Courts have also been consecrated along with the junior order.
The newly consecrated Councils are Council 131 of St. Edward Parish based in Logan Town, Council 132 of the Holy Martyrs Parish in Bardnesville, Council 133 of the Christ the King Parish based in Gaye Town Old Road and Council 134 based in Ganta, Central Liberia.
The Courts that were consecrated are Court 124 at Christ the King Parish, 125 at Holy Martyrs Parish in Bardnesville and Court 126 at St. Edward Parish based in Logan Town.
Two Junior Councils and Courts, 94J, Mother of Perpetual Faith,Matadi and 95J, Gate of Heaven, Gaye Town, Old Road, were also consecrated.
The Consecration exercises were climaxed with a thanksgiving Mass that was attended by members of Catholic Bishops Conference of Liberia at the Sacred Heart Cathedral on Sunday, April 30, 2017.
The Mass was graced by the President of the Republic of Liberia; Her Excellency President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
The Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Bro ERNEST AMOAKO-ARHEN in a remark during the celebration of the Holy Mass, called on Marshallans in Liberia and all Catholics to continue their support to the spiritual and material growth of the church.
He called on the laity especially Catholics with diverse professional backgrounds to offer their services to the church for minimum fees.
The consecration of Liberia as a State Council and State Court is the second after Togo/Benin.
The Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Bro Ernest Amoako-Arhen, and the Grand Lady, Most Respected Lady Sis Alice Ayebi, led the 11-member Supreme Council and Grand Court team.
The other members of the team are Past Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Bro James Adomako, Deputy Supreme Knight, W/Bro Ambrose Yennah, the Supreme Secretary, Sir Kt Bro Joseph Damoah Erskine, the Supreme Propagandist, W/Bro Charles Cobb, and an Assistant Youth Co-ordinator, W/Bro Thomas Asiedu. The rest are a Past Grand Lady, Most Respected Lady Sis Victoria Yellu, Assistant Grand Secretary, RL Sis. Felicity Mary Tattrah, the Grand Propagandist, Respected Lady Sis Cynthia Baffour, and the Grand Youth Co-ordinator, RL Sis Gloria Bramson.
