Hope goes to Centre of Hope

The Accra West Region of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall has presented assorted food items and cash to the Centre Of Hope, at Abossey Okai. The Centre was established by the late Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. Dominic Kodwo Andoh in 1990, and handed over to the Sisters of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary with the mandate to take up the inner city apostolate to the urban poor. The Centre of Hope is under the Holy Family Parish, which is home to Council 48 and Court 40 of the Noble Order.

The delegation to the Centre was led by the Regional Grand Knight of Accra West, Worthy Bro. Peter Wireko and the Regional Noble Lady, Respected Lady Sister Doris Bramson.

Worthy Brother Wireko commended the Centre for its services to the aged, the needy and poor, and said the Christmas Charity programme was in line with the motto of the Noble Order.
The Administrator of the Centre, Rev. Sister Cynthia Colette Mwaakpaar FMM, commended the Marshallans for the gesture, and assured them that the Centre would share the gifts with other care giving centres of the church. Rev. Sisters Pauline Bodi FMM, and Janet Ablorh FMM, and other members of the Board of the Centre, witnessed the ceremony.
