The Eastern Regional Youth Coordinator, Bro Maurice Adu-Amankwah has urged Junior Marshallans to be steadfast in their faith in the Lord and hold tight to the values the Noble Order.
Those values, he said, were honesty, hard work, respect for one another and a strong sense of commitment to education.
He asked them to be guided by their motto “SERVICE TO GOD AND MAN”.
Bro Adu-Amankwah made the call when he joined 81J Queen of the Most High to mark the feast of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary at the St Martins Senior High School, Adoagyiri-Nsawam.
He indicated that the Noble Order puts a lot of premium on the Supreme Council, Grand Court, Regional Council and Courts as well as the Adult Councils and Courts but it’s time to give some mileage and some limelight to the Junior Order. He used the opportunity to ask for the introduction of the Junior Grand Knight and Junior Noble Lady to the members present.
He admonished the juniors to feel a part of the Noble Order as much as the adult members feel because they were integral part of the order.
Bro Adu-Amankwah likened the Noble Order to the Trinity of which the Junior Order was the third arm i.e. The Adult Council, Adult Court and the Junior Council/Court.
He added that in some decades to come, the juniors will be the ones shaping the future with their ideas, passion and energy becoming the movers and shakers to move the Noble Order forward in the years ahead.
Members of Council 107 and Court 109, Adoagyiri-Nsawam were present in their numbers to support the Junior Marshallans to mark their feast. The Deputy Regional Grand Knight, Bro Benedict Akwetey and the Regional Communications Officer, Bro Eric Amoah were also present to grace the occasion.
In a Homily, the Chaplain of St Martins SHS, Bro Rev. Fr. Wilfred D’Souza, SVD stated that “Christian Life isn’t a comfortable one. Mother Mary went through challenges to do the will of God. She meditated and pondered over things she didn’t understand in order to know the plans of God”. He therefore called on those present to emulate the Virgin’s act of obedience so that the purpose for which Christ called them will be fulfilled.
He added that faith brings people together to worship, but as Christians we need to be constantly reminded that the Devil even believes in the existence of God. The only thing that sets us apart from unbelievers is our actions as Christians. He therefore encouraged all to live lives that justify our faith.
