Guards and Sentries in Togo/Benin undergo training

THE Accra West Regional Guard, Bro Francis Kwegyir-Afful and past Captain of Sentries of Court 63, Dansoman, Sis Juliet Amah, were in Lome, Togo, recently to take the Guards and Sentries of State Council and Court through a training session.
The two-day training session held on April 22 and 23, 2017, was at the instance of the State Grand Knight, W/Bro Hope AGBEWONU and the State Noble Lady, RL Sis. Christine GBEASSOR.
The training exercise was to help assist in synchronising the drills the Guards and Sentries of the Togo/Benin State Council and Court for outdoor parades and programmes.
Prior to the start of the training, a forum was held with the Guards and Sentries of the Togo/Benin State Council and Court.
At the forum Bro Kwegyir-Afful explained the importance of the Guards and Sentries to the Noble Order. He also explained the importance of preparing the Chamber and the altar amidst prayers for meetings. He also entreated guards and Sentries to prepare themselves spiritually before Court and Council meetings.
The Guards and Sentries were also taken through the importance of being custodians of law and order in the Noble Order.
After a question and answer segment of the forum, Bro Kwegyir-Afful and Sis Amah then went ahead to train the Guards and Sentries in the various drills for parades, weddings and funerals.
They were also trained in how to enter the church seamlessly and seating of Brothers and Sisters and how to exit the h church after Mass in an orderly.
