Council No. 4 And Court No. 3 Install New Grand Knight And Noble Lady

Bro. G.M. K. Mawuenyegah was on Saturday, January 10, 2015 installed as the Grand Knight of Council No.  4 (Keta). The installation which took place at the St. Michael’s Parish Hall at Keta was led by a team made up of Sir Kt. Bro. M.M. K. Tetey (PSK) as Installation Officer, W/Bro. Innocent Ocloo (RGK) as Installation Secretary, Bro. Emmanuel Salu as Installation Guard and Bro. S.K. Ahiataku (DRGK) as Installation Chaplain.

 

Installed Officers-Brothers

Other officers installed as part of the 33rd Administration of Council No. 4 which would run a two-year term from 2014 to 2016 were Bro. Emmanuel Awuku, Deputy Grand Knight; Bro. D.E. Nyonator, Secretary; Bro. Vitus Agboka, Assistant Secretary; Bro. F.K. Tamakloe, Financial Secretary; Bro. S.K. Tehoda, Assistant Financial Secretary; Bro. A.L. Avumegah, Captain of Guards.

 

In a short overview of his reign, the outgoing Grand Knight, Bro. M.M.K. Dake, pointed out that in spite of the fact that he lived and worked in Accra he endevoured to attend all Council meetings and other Feast Days of the Order. Under his reign, Council initiated eight new brothers some of whom are playing key roles in the Council. He also took on board raising funds for rehabilitation of the Council/Court Temple.

 

Maiden Address of GK

In his maiden as Grand Knight, Bro. Mawuenyegah, promised to work hard to ensure that Council No. 4 grows in strength to become an effective tool of the Catholic Church. In a vision that is modeled on the ‘Strategic Plan of the Noble Order’, the GK promised to lay emphasis on Deepening the spirituality of brothers and their relationship with God; Strengthening Unity Among Brothers and Sisters; Improving On the Financial Standing of the Council; Building Fraternal Relations Among Members of the Council and Improving on administrative and management Systems of the Council. Of special concern to the Grand Knight was rehabilitation of the Council/Court Temple. “I would like to urge all brothers to contribute their quota towards the finishing work on the Temple”, the GK stated.

 

Court Meeting

At the OLA Convent Girls School on the same Saturday, January 10, 2014, after a meeting which lasted from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sis. Veronica Colette Seadzi was installed as Noble Lady of Court No. 3 (Keta). The installation team was made up of MRL Sis. Mary Agegee (PGL) as Installation Officer, RL Sis. Alice Ayebi (DGL) as Installation Secretary, Sis. Josephine Dzakpasu as Installation Sentry and W/Bro. Rev. Fr. Gideon Fianya as Installation Chaplain.

Sisters installed to assist the Noble Lady to administer the court from 2014 to 2016 were:  Sis. Clara Kuda-Gbadegbe, Secretary; Sis. Rosemary Ashiagbor, Assistant Secretary; Sis. Gertrude Quashigah, Secretary of Fianance; Sis. Augustina Tamakloe, Treasurer; Sis. Gladys Aborchie, Auditor; Sis Beatrice Lumor, Welfare Office; Sis. Queen Djokotoe, Propagandist; MRL Sis. Mercy Awunyo-Akaba, Reader and Lecturer, and Sis. Bernice Amegbletor, Captain of Guards.

 

 

 

Maiden Address of NL

The Noble Lady, Sis. Veronica Seadzi, in her maiden address paid growing tribute to her predecessor, Sis. Gladys Aborchie, for the great sacrifices she made in kicking starting the revival of the court after years of decline. Sis. Seadzi promised to embark on vigorous membership drive to raise the number of sisters on roll from current 37 to an appreciable number. She also promised to give great attention to developing the spirituality of members through organizing series of talks and retreats. The Noble Lady asked for a stop to backbiting and gossiping; behaviours that have contributed to the downward slide of the court. She urged sisters to always have in mind the warning of the Deputy Noble Lady and the ‘Seven Point of the Noble Order’. She ended her address with a promise that just like her predecessor who live and work in Accra and attended meeting regularly she would do the same and ensure that her presence was felt at Keta. She commended Sis. Queinne Daramay who was domiciled in Liberia but always endeavoured to attend meetings of the court  at Keta.
