Accra East to build Adoration Chapel for St Paul Catholic Church

THE Accra East Regional Council and Court of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, are to construct an Adoration Chapel for the St Paul Catholic Church, Kpehe, in Accra.

A seed capital of GHc40,000 has already being raised for the project, which is expected to be completed within the next two years.

The Accra East Regional Grand Knight, Worthy Bro Augustine Appiah, announced this at a thanksgiving Mass to climax the regional conference of the Accra East Regional Council and Court of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall.

As part of the conference, new officers for the region were installed.

The Mass was presided over by the Vicar-General of the Accra Archdiocese, Very Rev Monsignor Francis Adoboli and concelebrated by Very Rev Fr. Ted Nelson Adjakpey, Very Rev Fr. Peter Rocky Hesse and Rev Fr. Elvis Mensah.

Assisted by his wife, Mrs Lydia Appiah and the Accra East Regional Noble Lady, Respected Lady Sis Yennah, W/Bro Appiah presented 40 pieces of choir robes to the main choir of the St Paul Catholic Church, Kpehe.

The Accra East Region also presented GHc10,000 to the St Paul Catholic Church for use in its development projects.

Cash donations were also presented to three St Vincent de Paul societies at the St Paul Paul  Catholic Church, Kpehe, St Kizito Catholic Church, Nima and St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Kotobabi.

In  his homily, Very Rev Monsignor Adoboli, stressed the need for Ghanaians to embrace Christ so as to have everlasting life.

He urged Christians to be specific in their supplications to God so as to receive the appropriate answers to their problems.

He also appealed to the rich in society to help provide the needs of the poor.

Noble Order

Touching on the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, he disabused the minds of Catholics that the society was an exotic society preserved for special people.

He said just like any other society in the Catholic Church, the Order was devoted to promoting the cause  of the church and also promoting lay apostolate through its charity works.
