The Supreme Knight, Sir Kt. Ernest Amoako-Arhen, and the Grand Lady, Most Respected Lady, Alice Stella Ayebi, direct me to draw your attention to some recent unpleasant developments regarding the use of the insignia and name of the Noble Order in creating social media accounts which appears to bring the image of the Noble Order into disrepute.
For some years now after the inception of the website, the Supreme Information Technology team has been trying hard to migrate the Noble Order’s information management system to the computer age. The initiative resulted in the successful launch of our official website, www.marshallan.org and its links to the global Catholic community and social sites.
However, while we are encouraging many more Brothers and Sisters to visit the site and get interactive, we have come across a few challenges emanating from some of our Brothers and Sisters who, rather than stay interactive within the Website/Facebook page, are attempting to mimic our official Facebook page and copy our information and redistribute same on different locations using names that seem to suggest they are official sites of the Noble Order. At the last count, we had 26 groups all using the Noble Order’s name and logo with little alteration.
The danger is that these tend to confuse members from following the Official sites and could lead to misinformation and disaffection, indeed disparaging to the Noble Order since the contents and source of information are not official.
For the avoidance of doubt our Official website is: www.marshallan.org and the Facebook page: Knights and Ladies of Marshall – official, which can be accessed directly on the website. We also have a YouTube account as Marshallan videos and a google plus account as Knights and Ladies of Marshall.
All Brothers and Sisters who are administering the lookalike accounts in the name of the Noble Order are hereby, directed to immediately close them and allow us all to read and contribute to a common site as Marshallans.
We belong to an Order and the concomitant discipline is a cardinal part of the Noble Order.
Fraternally Yours,
W/BRO. JOSEPH D. ERSKINE
SUPREME SECRETARY
Will like the decision makers of the Order, to have a look at officers wearing gloves in church and during mass.
Of what religious significant and to what protection wearing of the gloves give.
All over the world, we see army officers, dignitaries, even head of states removing their gloves when they enter church.
Hope the Supreme Knight will educate the Order on this issue.
