THE Pilgrimage Committee has released the fares for this year’s Marshallan pilgrimage to Israel, Italy, Portugal and France.
In order to make it affordable and encourage many Marshallans to take part in the pilgrimage, the committee has provided six options for which prospective pilgrims could select.
Under option one, which involves travelling to all the four countries, prospective pilgrims are to pay US$4,590 to qualify for the full duration of the pilgrimage scheduled for October 8 to 25, 2016.
For those interested in option two, scheduled for October 8 to 20, 2016, they are required to pay US$3,400 to qualify for Israel and Italy where as those interested in option three would be required to pay US$2,550 to take them to only Israel between October 8 to 15,2016.
According to the organisers, option four, which covers a trip to Italy and Portugal between October 14 to 25, 2016, prospective pilgrims will be required to pay US$3,550 while option five will cost US$2,950 and will involve pilgrims travelling only to Italy and Portugal between October 14 to 23, 2016.
The last option, which involves a trip to Italy from October 14 to 21, 2016, prospective pilgrims will pay US$2,790.
Purchasing forms
The planning committee advised all those interested to in taking part in this year’s pilgrimage, which has been dubbed, 90th Anniversary Marshallan Pilgrimage, to purchase the pilgrimage forms from the Marshallan Secretariat, Holy Spirit Cathedral, Adabraka, Accra at the cost of GH¢ 20.
The application forms also contain Visa Forms and Pilgrimage itinery.
The closing date for the submission of the pilgrimage forms is March 31, 2016 while prospective pilgrims will have up to July 29, 2016 to make final payments for the trip.
