Support your leaders – Fr Asare urges Marshallans

THE Parish Priest of the St. Sylvanus Catholic Church, Pokuase, Very Rev Fr Mark Nana Yaw Asare, has entreated Marshallans to avoid jealousy and complaints when it comes to putting people in leadership positions.

He said complaints about the elevation of people into higher ranks should also stop.

Delivering his homily at a thanksgiving Mass on July 9, 2017, to climax the Accra West Regional Conference, Bro. Very Rev Asare, Christians and Marshallans in particular, must always pray for those who are offered higher responsibilities.

The regional conference was on the theme “A CALL TO UNITY, CHARITY, FRATERNITY AND SERVICE – THE ROLE OF THE MARSHALLAN”.

Bro Very Fr Asare said it should be the case that one joined the Noble Order before the other person and, therefore, should be elevated first or be given an appointment.

He said critics never appreciate the assignment given to those persons but would prefer to be in their positions.

Bro Very Fr Asare said Marshallans must learn to pray for and support their leaders to succeed in their endeavours, adding that God has plans for every member and, therefore, urged them to “pray for them and wait for our turn”.

He implored on Marshallans to walk the talk and live by their motto- Unity, Charity, Fraternity and Service.

In a speech, the RGK, Worthy Bro Kuatsinu said Sir James Marshall was instrumental in refounding the church.

He presented GHC2000 to the church on behalf of the order.

The PPC Chairperson, Mrs Salome Boakye, who received the donation on behalf of the church, thanked the noble order for the gesture.
