EASTER MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF IACK

Brothers,

During the first three Sundays of lent my parish priest talked about three aspects of lent, prayer, fasting and giving. He focused on prayer saying that prayer is the strength of the Christian. “Ask for anything in My name and it will be granted”. What confidence we gain from this. It gives us hope. In today’s world prayer is extremely important. I ask that we hold all people in the world suffering violence, abuse, homelessness and despair in our hearts and prayer constantly in the hope that their suffering may be relieved.

The death and resurrection of Jesus is a time of renewal, a new awakening when Christ turned death into life. Let us therefore embrace the grace of Christ’s Resurrection and be renewed by his love. So let us all pray in the word of Pope Francis

“We ask the risen Jesus, who turned death into life, to change hatred into love, vengeance into forgiveness, war into peace. Yes, Christ is our peace, and through him we implore peace for all the world.”

Brother’s on behalf of Margaret and myself I wish you all a holy Easter and pray that our determination to do God’s work in our parts of the world is strengthened  through the Grace of the resurrected Christ.

Bro. David Huppatz

President of IACK
