TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF BRO JACOB ANKRAH BY THE KNIGHTS AND LADIES OF MARSHALL, Council 108 and Court 103, Pokuase

Death has robbed us of a wonderful friend and a comrade.  Our late Bro Jacob Oko Ankrah moved into the Ga West Municipality from North Kaneshie area in 2012 and immediately registered with the St Sylvanus Catholic Church. Bro Jacob Ankrah hit the ground running.

In his enthusiasm to offer himself everywhere as a true apostle, he voluntarily expressed his desire to join the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall when the Order’s Propagandist was contacting other colleagues of his. He with seven other young men were initiated into the Noble Order, Council 108, Pokuase , on July 18th 2015. His group was christened the Eight Beatitude Brothers. The late Bro Jacob Ankrah was the leader of the Beatitude Brothers. Even as a new initiate he had big dreams about the Noble Order and the role that he could play in building a sound and vibrant Noble Order in Ga West. Becoming the lay chaplain of the Council was his passion and his dream. It was his wish that as he developed in the church and in the Noble Order, he would one day be the person who could provide guidance to brothers in the development of their spirituality. He actively participated in the Homecoming activities of the Greater Accra Region of Noble Order even though he was just about three weeks old in the Order.

The late Bro Jacob Ankrah also had plans on how to strengthen the resource base of the Noble Order so that it could achieve its objectives in all its departments. A proposal which he developed to actualize his dream and which was to have been delivered to the Noble Order that week remains hanging. Death has robbed us of the brilliant ideas Bro Jacob Ankrah had to offer. Bro Ankrah, where is the Business Plan you developed? We know you prepared it. But you have gone before us to join other brothers before you to commence your membership of the Noble Order above. We pray that you will deliver this Business Plan to the Noble Order on High so that together with the Angels and the Saints you will guide us who still sojourn on earth to carry the load made heavier by your untimely demise.

The late Bro Jacob Ankrah was very active everywhere. He was an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister and a Catechist arguably one of the youngest in both of these vocations he had chosen to perform. His enthusiasm to serve his church and his fellow Christians was brutally cut short by that gruesome accident on the 8TH September,2015.

The damage done to us is irreparable; losing you at this time is irreplaceable to us as it is to your family, a life lost in its prime. But as Christians we shall in unison say “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God”. 2Corinthians 1:3-4.

We will miss you greatly but we know God needs more.

Bro Jacob, may the Good Lord receive you into the comfort of his Kingdom.
