With deep sorrow we announce the passing away of Bro Jacob Okoe Konadu Ankrah of Council 108, Pokuase.
Bro Ankrah was on his way home from church after participating in the celebration of the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the St Sylvanus Catholic Church, Pokuase when a vehicle ran over him and a pillion, Mr Peter Sakyi.
Until his untimely death, Bro Ankrah was a catechist, a Eucharistic minister and the organising secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council.
Mr Sakyi, who is also a catechist and a Eucharistic Minister at the Epiphany Catholic Church, Mayera, is currently on admission at the 37 Military Hospital.
He was initiated into the Noble Order of the Knights of Marshall on July 18, 2015 into Council 108, Pokuase.
Bro was among eight brothers initiated on July 18, this year and the group was christened “Eight Beatitudes”.
Since his initiation, Bro Ankrah has been very active in the activities of the council.
He was at the recent Greater Accra Homecoming Conference in Winneba held from August 14 to 16, 2015.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
