THE Very Rev Fr Dr John Louis, has called on Christians to seek the face of God in all they do so as to claim the eternal benefits of Christianity.
That, he said, required that Christians set their eyes on spiritual things instead of material things.
Very Rev Fr Louis made the call in a sermon at the Mary Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Airport West during the thanksgiving service of Sir Kt Ekow Paintsil for a successful two year reign as Supreme Knight of the Knights of Marshall.
According to Very Rev Fr Louis, preaching the word of God had taken a material dimension with most pastors replacing seeking the Kingdom of God and all other things shall be added onto you with that of wealth and prosperity Gospel.
He said Jesus Christ had insured the life of all believers with an “Eternal Life Assurance Policy (ELAP)”.
He said Jesus offered the premium of ELAP for us through His death on the Cross.
Very Rev Fr Louis indicated that it was time for Christians to look at the benefits of the ELAP, which was living in paradise with God when we died.
He said it was important that Christians claimed that policy by holding the policy certificate intact.
That, he said, we could do by trusting and having faith in Jesus Christ.
According to him, it also required that Christians became very charitable as “every act of charity increases the benefits”.
