THE President of Unun Omnes, Sir Kt Bro Eddie Prah has urged Christians to use the last few days to Easter to reflect on their personal relationships with God and man.
In an Easter message to members of Unum Omnes, he said, it was not too late for members to reflect on such a relationship and make amends where necessary.
“That is the path to a joyful and spirit filled Easter, which is what I wish for you and your families,” he stated.

EASTER MESSAGE TO THE BRETHREN OF UNUM OMNES
FROM EDDIE PRAH- PRESIDENT
Dear Friends,
As the time for the celebration of Easter, perhaps the most important Feast on the Church’s calendar draws near, I bring you greetings and good wishes from Ghana. I hope all of us have taken the opportunity offered by the Church in the 40 days of lent, to reconcile with our God through the prescriptions of repentance, fasting, praying and alms-giving.
We urgently need reconciliation with God because in 1 John 1:8-10, it is written that “we deceive ourselves if we say we have no sin and in so doing make God a liar. But if we acknowledge our sins, God who is trustworthy and upright forgives us”. Other scriptures support this. For example, Romans 3:23 confirm our state of sinfulness for which we fall short of the glory of God and therefore the need for His mercy.
Since proclaiming the “Jubilee Year of Mercy” in 2016 and continuing this year 2017, the Holy Father Pope Francis, has not relented in his focus as the leader of the Universal Church to remind and challenge us to let “Mercy and forgiveness” be essential parts of our relations with men. For how can we seek forgiveness from God when we do not show love to our fellow men through mercy and forgiveness. The great prayer Jesus taught us the “Our Father” leaves us in no doubt as to the importance of living right with our neighbour and again as said in 1 John 4: 20-21, “we become liars when we claim to love God whom we do not see but hate our brother whom we see”. Truth is, if we live our lives without anyone ever offending or hurting or disappointing or disgracing us, then we have probably not done anything of worth. The problem always is, as Christians, how do we react to those situations? Do we forgive or we carry the pain and even plan a pay back? But don’t we, in our daily lives do same to God and expect his forgiveness?
Easter is about God’s mercy and His desire to save His children from damnation due to sin including unforgiveness. It was indeed His abundant mercy for us His lost children that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to bring us back through death on the cross on Good Friday so we can share in the glory of His resurrection on Easter Sunday.
As I write, we still have some few days to journey in lent before Easter. In order to be part of the Easter celebration to the fullest, may I entreat you that it is never too late to reflect on your personal love relations with God and man with the view to making amends where necessary. That is the path to a joyful and spirit filled Easter, which is what I wish for you and your families.
May the Lord of resurrection abundantly bless you and your families and may He have you always in His keeping. Amen!
