Members of the Accra West Regional Council and Court on December 5, 2014, spent time with children of the Village of Hope, Gomoa Fetteh. The visit was to enable the region perform its charity for the year during which time foodstuffs and other goodies were presented to the inmates.
The team was led by the Regional Grand Knight, W/Bro Peter Kofi Wireko and the acting Regional Noble Lady, Respected Lady Sister Veronica A. Koffie and included Sir Kt Tony Baffour and the immediate past Regional Grand Knight, W/Bro Yaw Osei Poku.
Bro Rev Fr Bernard Ackom of Council 11, Elmina was present to offer prayers for the children and also bless the items before they were presented.
The children entertained the Marshallan delegation and later interacted with members of the delegation and also led them to their homes (dormitories).
That was after Ms Millicent Ayisi had received the items from RL Sister Koffie.
The Managind Director of the Home, Mr Kwaku Sarkodie, briefed the team on the history of the Village of Home, particularly how children were adopted or brought to the home.
