Show deep-seated love – W/Bro Justice Kporkpor urges Marshallans

The Chief Justice of Liberia, W/Bro Justice Francis S. Korkpor, has called on Marshallans to show deep-seated love and unending charity in society.

Chief Justice Korkpor, who is also a Substantive Past Regional Grand Knight, said Marshallans should live every day the motto of the Order; Unity, Charity and Fraternity.

Worthy Brother Justice Korkpor made the assertions when he delivered the keynote address at the ongoing 2017 Regional Conference taking place in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County, Liberia.

His message was centered on the conference theme, “ A Call to Unity, Charity, Fraternity and Service: The Role of the Marshallan”.

Worthy Brother Justice Korkpor described the theme for this year’s Regional Conference as a classic reminder to all Brothers and Sisters to always cultivate a virtue of peace and reconciliation not only in the Council and Court chambers but also in their communities and work places.

He said giving especially to those in need should be a virtue Marshallans should live by.

Worthy Brother Justice Korkpor called on brothers and sisters to always help brothers and sisters in need especially when it comes to job placement.

“We must not hold malice against anyone”, he said.

He then challenged delegates at the Regional Conference to stop pulling down and holding grudges for each other as these attitudes are against the tenants of the lodge.

He said it was time for Brothers and Sisters to give free services to the church in their various areas of professional expertise in fulfillment of the call to service as part of the theme of the regional conference.

Justice Korkpor said with the current donor fatigue facing the local Catholic Church, Marshallans should begin to step in and provide more services than ever before to the church and its institutions.

Speaking earlier, the Liberia State Noble Lady, RL Sis. Emelia Ayomanor called for the writing of the history of the Order in Liberia.

She said it’s unfortunate that since the formation of the Order in Liberia there was not a written history which makes it impossible for some of the young brothers and sisters to understand where the order came from and where it is going.
