Remains of Sir Kt Norvor buried

The late Sir Kt. Bro Anthony Amey Norvor, one of the foundation members of Council 48, was on September 26, 2015 buried after a burial mass at the Martyrs of Uganda Catholic Church, Mamprobi.

Sir Kt. Bro. Norvor was initiated into Council 10 in April 1977 and rose to the position of Secretary of Council from 1979-1980.

He was installed as the fourth Grand Knight of Council 48 in 1989.

A lawyer by profession, he was instrumental in the legal acquisition and transfer acquisition of the old chapel of the Holy Family Parish to the Noble Order in exchange for which the Noble Order built a six classroom block and home science centre for the parish.

Sir Knight Norvor also served as Supreme Advocate for the Supreme Council.

Outside the Noble Order, Sir Kt. Bro Norvor was the famous Radio Lawyer who gave valuaSIR KT. BRO ANTHONY NORVORble legal advice to listeners on Radio Ghana on a weekly basis.

He offered pro bono legal service to the late Emeritus Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev Dominic Kodwo Andoh and the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference.

He also served for a number of years on the Board of Bishop Bowers School.

The officiating clergy at the burial Mass was led by the Most Rev. Joseph Afrifa-Agyakum of the Diocese of Koforidua, and included Sir Kt Bro. Monsignor Hilary Senoo, PSK, and Monsignor Bobby Beson of Mathew 25 House, Koforidua.

Very Rev. Theodore Quaye, former Parish Priest of Martyrs of Uganda, and a close collaborator with the late Sir Kt. Bro. Norvor, was the Homilist.
