North and South Volta Regions attend training

The IT and visibility programmes of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall were given a boost on 29th April 2017, when the two Regions of the Volta jointly organized a day’s forum for key officials of the Noble Order at the Bishop Holland Formation  Center at Sokode Gbogame, near Ho.

The Volta Region programme follows on the heels of a similar one organised by the Eastern Region.

It was organized by the North and South Volta Regional Grand Knights, Worthy Brothers Bernard Quarshie and Simon Ahiataku, with their Regional Noble Ladies, Respected Lady Sisters Josephine Dzakpasu and Victoria Atsyor.

The facilitators were the Supreme IT Officer, Sir Kt Bro Albert Salia and the Assistant Supreme Communications Officer, Worth Brother Emmanuel Vorgbe. Two members of the IT team, Brothers Edward Mensah of Council 63 Madina and Gideon Sandinah of Council 108 Pokuase provided support services for the training.

At an open forum after the training session, the participants called for more of such training exercises especially when officers were changed at the installation of every administration.

They further suggested the setting up of committees for every office so that the knowledge attained could be shared and utilized for the good of the Order.

They also stressed the need for Councils and Courts to acquire laptops, cameras and other accessories for use instead of always visiting Internet cafes.

The participants commended the leadership of the two regions for organizing the training programme to upgrade the skills and competencies of Brothers and Sisters handling such offices.

The 18 IT officers and 15 Communicators, and an equal number of Grand Knights and Noble Ladies benefitted from the programme, at the end of which they were unanimous in commending the Facilitators for broadening their knowledge for the good of the Noble Order.
