MAREDES donates to ADIEMBRA JHS ASOKWA – ADANSI

THE Ashanti South Denkyira Regional Council and Court of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall have presented about 100 pieces of mathematical sets to pupils of the Adiembra Junior High School, Asokwa – Obuasi.

It formed part of the charitable obligations of the Noble Order.

The aim of this gesture was to facilitate and promote girl child education and improvement in Mathematics.

In his address, the Regional Grand Knight of Ashanti South Denkyira, Worthy Brother David Frank Yawson explained the rationale behind the Presentation as the widow’s mite from the Development wing of the Noble Order, Marshallan Relieve and Development Services – MAREDES in support of education for girls in the deprieved areas in the country where it operates.

Receiving the gifts the School Prefect Miss Ajara Seidu expressed their profound gratitude to the Noble Order for the kind gesture, she entreated her colleagues to take good care of the items and ensure that the purpose for which it was given will be achieved.

The Headteaher of the School, Mr Michael Tuffour on behalf of the school expressed his appreciation as it was the very first time the school was receiving such a donation from a benevolent organization and not to mention from the Catholic Church.

In all about One Hundred pieces of Marshall Mathematical Sets were donated.
