“Late Sir Kt. Bro, Joseph Vincent Mensah – A blessing to the nation, Church and Society,” says Rev. Fr. Gabriel Kojo Ettiene

Rev, Fr. Gabriel Kojo Ettiene, Assistant Parish Priest of the Star  of the Sea Catholic Church, Dansoman has described late Sir Kt. Bro. Joseph Vincent Mensah, a retired Senior Reporter of the Ghana News Agency as a “blessing to the nation, the Catholic Church and the society.”

In a homily at a funeral Mass presided over by Very Rev, Samuel Filton- Mensah, Cathedral Administrator of the Holy Spirit Cathdral, Accra, Rev. Fr. Ettience said late Sir Kt, Bro Mensah’ enthusiasm, passion and commitment to put in his best in all assignments entrusted to him’ should inspire all Christians.

Late Sir Bro, Mensah, a former Editor of the Bridge Magazine, a journal of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, died in Accra at the age of 80 after a short illness.

In attendance at the funeral Mass were Rev. Fr. Clement Ackon, Parish of the Star of the Sea Cathedral .  Very Rev. Fr.Theodore Quaye, over 200 brothers and sisters of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, members  Sacred Heart Confraternity and other church societies.

Key luminaries of the Order included PSKs Sir Kt. Bros. Anthony Kemavor, Victor Derx Baffour, Sir Kt. Bros. Anthony Gozo, Benard Moro, Anthony Apaloo, Gerald Mensah, Anthony Okyere,  Frank Godfrey Essiaw and MRLs Sisters Cecilia Clark-Nortey, Monica Ahedor, Anastiasia Tomety and  Janet Boado

. In a tribute, brothers of COUNCIL 71 said they would continue to remember him for his immense contributions towards the consecration of the council and it growth sustained growth.

The Editorial Board of the Bridge on it part promised to work hard to ensure that’ the blaze he set alight as Editor will continue unabated.’
