Don’t use your regalia to intimidate Noble Ladies – Supreme Knight admonishes newly elevated PGLs

The Supreme Knight of the Knights of Marshall, Sir Kt Bro. Ernest Amokoa-Arhen, has commended the leadership of the Grand Court for elevating much younger Sisters to the position of Honorary Past Grand Ladies.

“In the past, it was the practice to see those to be elevated being brought in wheel chairs and holding walking sticks. I commend the Grand Lady, MRL Sis. Aice Stella Ayebi, for the new direction,” he noted.

He made those remarks when 22 sisters from various courts across the country and London were on Saturday, September 17, 2016 elevated to the rank of Honorary Past Grand Lady (PGL) of the Ladies of Marshall.

The elevation of the 22, who were christened ‘Merciful 22’ was the highlight of the 2016 Grand Court Meeting held at the Christian Village in Santasi-Kumasi from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, September 18, 2016.

Sir Kt. Bro. Amoako-Arhen expressed the hope that the trend would continue to encourage Sisters to give up their best.

He advised the newly elevated Sisters not to use their new regalias to intimidate the Noble Ladies and other officers at the Courts.

He explained that as HPGLs, they should be seen to be supporting the activities of the Courts and Grand Court.
