COUNCIL NO. 113 AND COURT NO. 108 mark first anniversary

MEMBERS of Council 113 and Court 108, Mangu in the North West Region of the Noble Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall have donated 19 benches and an amount of GHc100 to support the Dabo Catholic community in Wa.

The Grand Knight of Council 113, Bro Amatus Saanikuu personally donated two pairs of altar cloths for use by the church.

The presentation formed part of the first anniversary celebration of the Council and Court.

The Grand Knight, Bro. Saanikuu observed that within the first year of its creation, the council and court undertook a number of charitable activities including a donation to the Jirapa Orphanage.

He said the Council successfully initiated eight new brothers and also elevated seven brothers to the position of Past Grand Knights.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Church, an elder of the church, Mr Albert Bonye, thanked the Knights and Ladies of Marshall for the donations.

He, however, asked other Catholic societies to come to the aid of the church since it was an outstation and yet to stand on its own.

He also used the opportunity to encourage young men and women who were practicing Catholics and could write and read to join such Catholic benevolent Organisations to help the poor, the needy and the growth of the universal Catholic Church.
