Bro Thomas Opoku-Amankwah laid to rest

Bro Thomas Opoku-Amankwah alias Heavy D, was on January 24, 2015 laid to rest at the Osu Cemetery after burial mass at the St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Dansoman.

The late Opoku-Amankwah was initiated into the Nobler Order of the Knights of Marshall, Council 71, Dansoman in October 2007 with the Group christened “The Jubilee 17”.

Apart from serving as assistant treasurer in 2009, Bro Opoku-Amankwah served on several committees in Council 71.

Hardworking and studious as he was, Bro Opoku-Amankwah, a former employee of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), returned home from work on December 23, 2014 only to pass away the next day, December 24, 2014.

Preaching during the burial mass, Rev Fr. Peter Kabutey (SVD), reminded Christians on the need to lead exemplary lives.

He said it did not matter how long one lived on earth, but well an individual lived and the impact he or she would make on society.
That, he said, was important because no one could tell when he or she would be called to the Maker.

Present at the burial service were the Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Ekow Paintsil and the immediate past Supreme Knight, Sir Kt Derx Baffour.
