Accra East Region to set up research library – W/Bro. Nuoriyee

THE Regional Grand Knight of Accra East, W/Bro Charles K. Nuoriyee, has pledged to establish a research library for the region.

That, he explained, was to help address the challenges in obtaining materials and information about the Noble Order.

Addressing brothers after his installation as the Regional Grand Knight at the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana, Legon on Saturday, July 30, 2016, W/Bro Nuoriyee said he had experienced difficulties as Secretary at both the Adult and Regional Council in obtaining materials and information within the Noble Order hence the decision to partner Council 10, to set up the research library.

“That has been the trend since I joined the Noble Order some sixteen years ago. Spiritually uplifting talks, Business proposals, Entrepreneurial guidelines, Spiritual developments have always been presented at every Regional Conference and not a single document can be traced immediately after the conference. Had it not been our desire as a Region to gather materials for the Library project the same fate would have befallen this morning’s presentations as well,” he told the Marshallans.

Installation Officer, Our faith today is getting smaller, at the same time the evils around us are growing in magnitude. We have committed ourselves to creating a new reality, combining unity, charity, fraternity and service. We must remember that the Lord has no hands but ours. Our values, our motivations, our activities and our goals must reflect God’s ways at all times.

Brothers, we face many daily challenges and pressures in our lives. On this memorable occasion in the history of our lodge, I would like you to deeply reflect on the motto of the Noble Order and the ideals and values it stands for.

To the Installation Team, I say a very big thank you for successfully installing the members of the 4TH Administration of the Accra East Regional Council and to all Officers and Brothers of this assembly and the Region, I say thank you for your prayers, and support. Special thanks are due and gladly given to Brother Most Reverend BISHOP Joseph Osei Bonsu, Bishop of Konongo/ Mampong Diocese, President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference and Supreme Spiritual Director of the Noble Order of Knights of Marshall for finding space and time in his crowded schedule to be the Guest Speaker, Installation Chaplain and main celebrant for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving Mass. My Lord Bishop Thanks very Much for this gesture.

Installation Officer, let me acknowledge with thanks the presence of the Regional Grand Knights of Accra West and Tema Regions, W/Bro. Evaristus K. Kuatsinu and W/Bro. Edward Mussey. They are accompanied to this meeting by their newly installed deputies.

To my fore runners, W/Bro.Samuel Kingsford Arthur, Sir Kt. Bro. Brother Michael Kwarteng and S/Kt Bro. Ing. Paul A. Let me assure you that the 4th Administration under my watch will continue from where you left off.

Installation Officer, the Accra East Region, has over the first six years of its existence, grown from Four Councils to five. Let me congratulate  Council 10 for giving birth to Council 115, Mary Mother of Good Counsel, Airport West, We still have work to do if we are to pursue the Supreme Council’s goal of indexing Councils and Courts to Parishes. I would therefore task our Regional Propagandist to double his efforts towards increasing the number of Councils.

Research Library

Installation Officer, during my tenure as Regional Grand Knight of the Accra East Regional Council, we will partner Council 10, to establish a Research Library for the Region and the Noble Order in general. I have been Secretary at both the Adult and Regional Council and I have experienced serious difficulties in obtaining materials and information within the Noble Order. This morning, we were, as usual treated with beautiful and inspiring speeches by our Guest Speaker, Most Reverend Bishop Osei Bonsu. That has been the trend since I joined the Noble Order some sixteen years ago. Spiritually uplifting talks, Business proposals, Entrepreneurial guidelines, Spiritual developments have always been presented at every Regional Conference and not a single document can be traced immediately after the conference. Had it not been our desire as a Region to gather materials for the Library project the same fate would have befallen this morning’s presentations as well.

The Junior Order.

The Junior Order is a very important segment of the Noble Order and I say ayekoo to all the Organisers for their time and investment. Installation Officer, you will agree with me that one of the cardinal aims of the Junior Order is to bring up our Children for the Adult Order as practicing Catholics to ensure the certainty of perpetual existence. More attention will be paid to the development of practical formative programmes to sustain the interest of our Junior Knights and Ladies to improve their knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church. I will also wish to appeal strongly to all to help make the Junior Order a tower of strength for our Noble Order. Not only should we ensure that our children and the young ones become members, but we should be personally interested that they get the Catholic disciplined upbringing.

Installation Officer, My Lord Bishop, Sir Knights, Worthy Brothers, Higher Officers, Brothers, I declare in all humility and gratefulness to God and all of you present, my acceptance as the 4th Regional Grand Knight of the largest Regional Council of the Noble Order of Knights of Marshall, Accra East Regional Council

I am indeed humbled at the opportunity to serve and I am grateful for the honour.

Thank you and may God bless us all.
