The Junior Grand Knight, JBro. Wisdom Afelete Sankumah, preceded his address by asking all brothers and sisters gathered to join him in singing Ode 39 “Rejoice the Lord is King”. He thanked the Grand Knight and Noble Lady of Council 90 and Court 94 (Adenta) for the effort in having the junior council/court established at Adenta. He also thanked the Parish Priest of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church for agreeing to have the junior order operate as one of the youth groups in the Church. He promised that he and his counterpart, Junior Noble Lady, JSis. Lucy Turkson, would work hard to ensure that the junior order became a force among the youth groups at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Adenta.
The Regional Noble Lady of Accra East Region, Dame RL Sis. Afia Amoo-Adare, and Regional Grand Knight of Accra East Region, W/Bro. Samuel Kingsford Arthur, in a joint solidarity message read on their behalf by RL Sis. Janet Barrigah, Immediate Past Regional Noble Lady of Accra East Region, congratulated the new junior order. She admonished the members of 79J to: “Always Remember that in life you must live and not just exist, Feel and not just touch; Observe and not just look; Absorb and not just read; Listen and not just hear; Understand and not just listen; Ponder and not just think; Earnestly strive and not just desire and be assured you are a success”. She continued, “We love you and are ready to un-naught all your doubtful situations if only you will let us know your problems. As youth you are trustees of prosperity, legacy of peace and human dignity for us adults. Trust in God and do the right thing”.
RL Sis. Mary Osei, Assistant Grand Youth Co-ordinator, congratulated the members of 79 for the effort in establishing a junior order. She wished them success and prosperity. He asked them to give their fullest support and loyalty to the Noble Oder and to attend all meetings and activities with joy. She advised them to ensure that their lives are honest and pure so that they may show the world the glory of the Noble Oder of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, and the Junior Branch.
W/Bro. Commodore Mark Yawson, Supreme Youth Co-ordinator, in his address asked members of the new junior order to take their studies seriously and always work hard. He cautioned the members, especially the Junior Grand Knight, that they cannot hold a legal meeting of 79J unless an organizer is present. All activities of the junior order must be supervised by an organizer from the adult council/court.
Sir Kt. Bro. Ekow Paintsil in a short address said he was among the founding members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at Adenta. He was happy to see the Church grow in numbers. He commended Council 94/Court 90 for establishing a junior order within a short period after its consecration. The Supreme Knight pointed out that he was particularly happy to note that some officers of the new junior council/court were barely 12 years old and was hopeful that they would grow to take important positions in the Noble Order. He commended JBro. Malvin Kale-Dery for taking up the challenge to be the first secretary of the 79J and prayed that he would take his studies serious and one day become a supreme knight.
Various donations were made to the new council/court. The Accra East Regional Council/Court gave the GH¢500; whilst Council No 10 and Bro. Augustine Appiah, IPGK of Council 10, gave GH¢500. W/Bro.
