63J INITIATES 9

63J (Virgin Most Venerable), the Junior Council/Court of Council No. 89 and Court No. 85 (Sakumono) has initiated nine new members into the Junior Order of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall.

The initiation was conducted by W/Bro. Philip Quaicoe who was Initiation Officer, RL Sis. Mary Phyllis Aidoo Markham who was the Assistant Initiation Officer, and  Bro. Rev. Emmanuel Mary Srem Ofori who was the Initiation Chaplain.  In attendance as special guests were Bro. Michael Botse-Baidoo, the Grand Knight of Council No. 89 and Sis. Esther Tia, Noble Lady of Court No. 85 (Sakumono).

Addressing the council/court before the initiation, the Grand Knight pointed out that the junior order occupies a special place in his heart because he was once a member of 3J (Queen of Peace) at Sekondi. He appealed to the members of the junior order to attend meetings regularly emphasizing it would help them grow spiritually and that they would get to more about the Church and its teachings. Sis Tia, the Noble Lady, assured the junior order of the support of the current administration of Council and Court but appealed to the Junior Grand Knight, Noble Lady and the Organizers to notify council/court promptly about its programmes.

Bro. Kojo T. Vieta, Chairman of the Organizers of 63J, thanked the Grand Knight and Noble Lady for choosing to attend the meeting of junior order as their first activity as GK and NL. He appealed to the adult council and court for support emphasizing that the future of the Council No. 89 and Court No. 85 lies with its junior branch.
